Are paper programmes on the way out?

Hanwell's Elsa features in BBC article- read here

Every week we feature the digital programmes produced by some of our clubs, and every season we give awards to the best paper versions at our Annual General Meeting. Every week we face ire on social media from those who have an enormous dislike of the digital versions, but we share them nonetheless- because if our clubs take the time to produce them we feel that we should make them available if we can. The debate shows no sign of abating, and it seems to always focus on which is better- but from our perspective the debate isn't about quality, it's about cost-effectiveness, which is why digital programmes are allowed.

BBC writer Bill Wilson has produced a fine article on the corporation's website which looks at the pro's and cons of paper v Digital, and it features our very own Elsa Jones from Hanwell Town, who is very much a paper programme advocate. It also mentions an initiative from Swansea City, where all programmes are produced digitally but also available as a paper 'collection' at the end of the season to anyone who wants to purchase them. Food for thought, perhaps?

The article is a very interesting read- and available to you all here.

Thanks to Elsa for taking part and doing her usual fine job of promoting both her club and our league.
