The Met Police's players can look forward to a bubbly bonus over the rest of the season after the Ryman Premier club teamed up with The Good Wine Shop in Esher.

Announced on Friday ahead of Saturday's clash with Needham Market at Imber Court in the Ryman's top flight, the new sponsorship deal was set up by the club's commercial manager Michelle Wetton and will see winning players heading home with a bottle of the company's best-selling Proseccos!

A Met spokesman said: "We are thrilled to have agreed a deal with The Good Wine shop in Esher to provide a man of the match award for home games.

"The players were informed on Friday and it has already caused some lively debate and interest ahead of this weekend's game!"
