Burgess Hill defender is the latest recruit for Romford

On Thursday Burgess Hill Town announced that defender Junior Baker had left the club, manager Jay Lovett wishing him all the best on social media and stating that "we all understand the opportunity you were offered was too good to turn down.'

We wondered what that opportunity was, but now we know, as he has been confirmed as the latest signing for Glenn Tamplin's Romford.

Junior has made a dozen appearances for the Hillians this season, and scored in the last one, against East Grinstead Town eight days ago. He spent the previous two seasons with VCD Athletic, and has previously turned out for Cray Wanderers, Dulwich Hamlet, Thamesmead Town, Tilbury, Aveley and Grays Athletic.
