Banton for the Blues

Bishop's Stortford reinforce their promotion push with Kingstonian forward

Bishop's Stortford have announced the arrival of forward Jason Banton, who makes the move from promotion rivals Kingstonian.

The former Arsenal and Blackburn Rovers youth player- who also counts Liverpool, Crystal Palace and Leicester City amongst his clubs- first came to prominence at Plymouth Argyle, and also played in the Football League for Wycombe Wanderers, Notts County and Crawley Town.

After leaving the Red Devils he headed to Woking, and has also turned out for St Albans City, Truro City, Dulwich Hamlet and Braintree Town. He was one of many players brought into Romford by Glenn Tamplin, before joining the Cray Wanderers at the start of last season, scoring four goals in his ten appearances before heading off hoping to finish the season at Braintree Town when ours came to an end.

He has made thirty five appearances for the K's this season, scoring five goals. The last time he travelled to Stortford he was part of the K's side which won five-two, on August 21st.
