Bay bring back Johnson

Defender moves along the coast


Margate defender Dan Johnson has picked up his boots and departed Hartwdown Park, but decided that he likes the sea air, as he has signed on at Herne Bay.

The Bay squad for next season already includes a number of rather exciting names, and Johnson adds to that, returning to the club where he made almost a century of appearances after spells at Bromley and Dartford. During his time at Hayes Lane he also became an England C international.

He made more appearances than anyone else at Gate last season, with forty one, and leaves a rather large hole in the centre of their defence- although we're sure that Jay Saunders already has an idea about how to fill it!
