Beckenham bonanza

A host of new players for Beckenham Town

Beckenham Town have been busy on the transfer front, and have announced a number of new arrivals.

Goalkeeper Baldwin Kaluya has previously been with Whyteleafe, Chipstead and Glebe. He has already had trials much further up the pyramid, at Colchester United and Shrewsbury Town.

Bradley Goldberg played youth football for Charlton Athletic and Bromley, and professionally at Dagenham & Redbridge. He also spent some time with Hastings United around a decade ago, and will be remembered fondly at Pilot Field as that was the season they reached the Third Round of the FA Cup!

The forward/winger has also played professionally at Bromley and at Bristol Rovers, and since leaving Hayes Lane has been with Welling United.

Midfielder George Goodwin comes in from Punjab United- indeed he has been a key part of their midfield for a number of years, and has scored a number of long range thunderbolts, so look out for more of those! Another midfielder, Luke Hedges, moves over from Balham- another player who was long-serving with his previous club. He was part of the side that reached the Semi-Finals of the Surrey senior Cup last season, and he's a Chelsea supporter, but we won't hold that against him (much).

Finally, forward Jamarie Brissett was announced as a new signing for South Park as recently as June, so won't have played a competitive match for the Sparks as yet. Jamarie has no shortage of Pitching In Isthmian experience, as he was previously with Tooting & Mitcham United. He scored eight goals in nineteen matches for the Terrors during the 2019-20 campaign, and then played nine times during 2020-21 and another nine times last season before his time with Hill.

Jamarie has also spent time with Bedfont Sports, Three Bridges and Whyteleafe.
