Southend dangerman Jon to remain at Aveley until the end of the campaign

Aveley have today announced that forward Jon Benton will be remaining with the club on loan from Southend United until the end of the season.

Jon, who can play in midfield as well as in attack, joined the Millers last month and has managed a rather impressive six goals in his five matches so far- although four of them came in one game, against Felixstowe and Walton United on November 20th.

This isn't his first Pitching In Isthmian North Division loan spell. He also managed three goals in six matches with Great Wakering Rovers during the 2019-20 campaign, and earlier this season spent some time in our Premier Division with East Thurrock United, playing six times and scoring once.
