Sittingbourne move quickly to appoint a new manager after Lynch departure

Yesterday we brought you the news that Sittingbourne manager Chris Lynch had tendered his resignation, and the Brickies wasted no time appointing his replacement, with Assistant boss/first team coach Darren Blackburn stepping into the breach until at least the end of the season.

Blackburn joined the club after managing Hollands & Blair in the SCEFL, and headed to Woodstock Park in the summer. You can read the announcement of his arrival- and Chris Lynch's statement upon departure- at the club website, here.

Given the Brickies are eighteen points clear of relegation they shouldn't be in too much danger this season, but they have nine matches left to play and are without a win since January 11th.
