Blue Jordi goes from bottom to top

South East leaders Heath sign midfielder Ndozid from local rivals

Haywards Heath Town yesterday confirmed that they had signed midfielder Jordi Ndozid from just down the road, as he arrived from Burgess Hill Town.

Jordi has been a Hillian since the start of 2020, making eleven appearances after moving over from Met Police. He then made another ten last season, and six more so far this, his last coming in FA Cup defeat against Dorking Wanderers on Saturday. Heath Manager Shaun Saunders commented:

"He's a player we've admired for a while now and I'm really pleased we got him on board."

Supporters from the green section of Mid Sussex might be rather les pleased. Earlier this year, when we were asking supporters to compile their best ever club XI, Hillians fan Jack Naldrett said this of Jordi:

'I have never in my hundreds of games watching the Hillians seen a debut as impressive from anyone as Jordi’s was away at Herne Bay in 2020. He’s only been at Burgess Hill for a season and a half but he is the first name on Jay Lovetts team sheet, week in, week out. I will never know why it didn’t work out for him at Met Police because he has the talent and ability to play considerably higher than the Isthmian.'
