Blues announce a returning hero- and eleven retained players

Bishop's Stortford yesterday announced the return to the club of former Captain Anthony Church, who spent three years with them from 2013-2016 and has since been with National League South side Chelmsford City- where the central midfielder also wore the armband. As well as Stortford and City, he previously played for Boston United, Grimsby Town and Alfreton Town.

The Blues also announced eleven retained players from last season- a season which ended with them unbeaten in the League and having reached the First Round of the FA Cup. The list is as follows:
