Former Leeds and Burnley striker Robbie given permanent control of the hot seat at Nyewood Lane

Bognor Regis Town announced this morning that interim boss Robbie Blake has now been named permanent boss, as the Rocks prepare to host Margate on Saturday.

Robbie has been first team coach at Bognor for almost four years, working with manager Jack Pearce, who stepped down recently. He was previously in a coaching role at Portsmouth, but is still best known for his time as a player, when he turned out for Darlington, Bradford City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Leeds United and had two spells with Burnley.

He also had spells with Bolton Wanderers and Doncaster Rovers.

He told the local paper:

"I hope to be able to build a team that supporters are proud to cheer on and we want to try to add experience to the younger players we have so we can go forward positively and build -- and try to enjoy success.”
