Borough borrow a Beachboy...

...and add an Amber and a Sport!

Haringey Borough have announced the return to Coles Park of Concord Rangers defender Michael O’Donoghue on a 28 day loan.

O'Donoghue started his professional career at Colchester United after graduating from the youth side- he'd previously spent time at Reading and Leyton Orient. He left United in January 2017 to join Borough, and made twelve appearances in the second half of the 2016-17 season as Borough went on to finish fifth in the North Division.

He remained at Coles Park for the following campaign, and was almost ever-present as his team charged to the Playoff Final as well as reaching the First Round of the FA Trophy and the Fourth Qualifying Round of the FA Cup. Borough, of course, defeated Canvey Island to win promotion, and O'Donoghue, after once more being a big part of the Borough side who reached the Premier Division Playoffs last season, was off to the Island himself to play for Canvey's local rivals Concord Rangers.

He returns to Coles Park on a short term basis simply to get more game time, and may make another debut away to Enfield Town on Boxing Day.

Joining O'Donoghue at Coles Park is Cheshunt's Daniel Akindayini. Daniel has made four appearances for the Ambers this season, but only two starts- in defeats against Enfield Town and East Thurrock United. The striker, who started his career along the road at Tottenham Hotspur and also played at Brighton & Hove Albion, has previously played for Margate, Leatherhead, and started this season at Hornchurch, where he made one start and made two further appearances as a substitute.

A third signing heads from the South Central Division to the Premier Division, as Keanu Williams moves over from Bedfont Sports. The striker, who previously played for Margate and Staines Town, has made seventeen appearances for Sports this season, scoring five goals.
