Bostik Supporters Predictions 18/19: Hythe Town

We asked supporters of our Bostik League clubs to preview the new season, reflect on the old and predict the final outcome. Their predicted 1-20 (or 22) will be worked into a final table which you will see just before the big kick off.

Tom Moon is a Cannon of very few words. But he’s quite certain that he expects Hythe to win promotion!

1. What was your favourite moment of last season?

Zak Ansah’s last minute winner at Greenwich Borough. Ansah put Hythe ahead in the first half only for Jack Barham to equalise with fifteen minutes to go. But Ansah had the answer!

2. And your worst moment?

The final minute of the final day, when Harry Ottaway equalised for Corinthian-Casuals and denied us a playoff spot.

3. How will you do this season?

This season the target has to be promotion. No more, no less.

4. Which matches are you most looking forward to going to- and why?

All of the local derbies. And there are quite a few of those.

5. What is your favourite away ground?

Ashford United. There was a fantastic atmosphere.

6. Who do you consider your biggest rivals- and why?

Ashford United again. They have a top manager (Gary Alexander) who has put together a team who will be genuine contenders this season.

7. What advice would you give to any away supporter visiting you for the first time?

Get yourself quickly up to the bar and enjoy the balcony view!

8. Who is your favourite player of all time (for your club)- and why?

Dave Cook. A brilliant captain who scored important goals and led by example.

9. Who will be in the top five at the end of the season?

Cray Wanderers, Ashford United, Hythe Town, Greenwich Borough, Hastings United.
