Sonny Wheeler heads to Woking Park- on loan

Westfield have announced the arrival of Bracknell Town goalkeeper Sonny Wheeler, who comes in on a season-long loan.

Sonny first signed on for the Robins in the summer of 2019, moving to Larges Lane from Wealdstone whilst training full time with Reading. He had already spent time with AFC Bournemouth and Watford, and had previously turned out for Binfield, prior to the Moles joining our ranks.

He was a little underused by the Robins last season, playing only seven times- but those appearances did include two against his new club- a two-nil league victory and a rare defeat- on penalties- in the Velocity Trophy.

Simon Lane stated:

"I'm delighted to add Sonny to our squad. He comes with a Championship medal around his neck from this very league and that can only be a positive for us. He's a great guy, too, and will fit perfectly into the squad we have and are assembling."
