Brentwood go for Preston

Keeper Edwards is the latest impressive recruit for Town

Brentwood Town have announced the signing of former Dulwich Hamlet keeper Preston Edwards.

Preston famously played sixty six times in one season for Hamlet- the 2016-17 season during which they reached the Premier Division Playoff Final, losing to Bognor Regis Town, the Quarter Final of the FA Trophy, the Semi-Final of the Alan Turvey Trophy (League Cup) and the Semi Final of the London Senior Cup. That's a club record. He joined Hamlet in 2016 from Ebbsfleet United, where he had played for six years, making more than two hundred appearances.

He previously played for Millwall, Grays Athletic and Dover Athletic, and last season made two appearances for Cheshunt- a defeat against Carshalton Athletic and victory at Kingstonian just before lockdown.
