Sittingbourne welcome Canterbury City to Woodstock Park

Pitching In Isthmian South East side Sittingbourne have announced that they are to welcome SCEFL side Canterbury City to Woodstock Park for the 2022-23 season.

The Brickies, who still haven't called time on their attempt to gatecrash the end of season play off's, welcome City after their ground sharing arrangement with another of our clubs, Faversham Town, was announced to be ending this season.

In a statement, the club sought to reassure those worried about the pitch at Woodstock:

'Before signing the agreement we took into account the additional work that will be required on the pitch, and as part of the agreement there will be some professional help for our ground works volunteers; although the pitch would have had similar usage when we had the under 23 team playing on it a couple of seasons ago.'

City are currently seventeenth in the SCEFL Premier Division, but have enough points to be secure against the threat of relegation.
