Maldon boss departs- temporarily- to help out at Colchester United once more


Maldon and Tiptree last night announced that boss Wayne Brown had departed the club on a temporary basis to become interim head coach at Colchester United, following their parting of the ways with Hayden Mullins.

Wayne is continually United's go-to guy when they hit a managerial crisis; indeed this is the third time he has stepped in to help, the last one coming less than a year ago following the departure of Steve Ball. He made more than one hundred and fifty appearances for the U's during his playing career.

Wayne's Assistant, Paul Abrahams, will take over whilst Wayne is away.
