Lewis Ridd and Charley Barker come to Town

Bury Town have announced the return to the club of Ipswich Town keeper Lewis Ridd- and the arrival of midfielder Charley Barker.

Lewis began his footballing rise at Swansea City, before moving over to the Tractor Boys. A Wales Under 19 international, his Town side reached the Semi-Finals of the FA Youth Cup a couple of years ago, eventually falling to narrow defeat against Liverpool.

He spent time on loan at both Bury and their great rivals AFC Sudbury last season, playing only once for the Yellows but making seven appearances for the Ram Meadow side.

Charley started last season with Bishop's Stortford but wasn't there long, before heading to St Neots.

He made forty one appearances for Haringey Borough as they qualified for the Playoffs during 2018-19, and has since been a Scholar, joining in January 2020 and making a handful of appearances before the 2019-20 season fell over, and a handful more before the same happened to the 20-21 campaign.

He started his career at Leyton Orient, being loaned out to Northwood and Soham Town Rangers, before moving to Braintree Town.
