Hythe Town yesterday confirmed that midfielder James Rogers, who made twenty seven appearances last season, is to remain with the club for the 2020-21 season. He previously played for Dover Athletic, Maidstone United and Margate, where Town boss Steve Watt was in charge.
There was also a new arrival for the Cannons, as full back Liam Smith came in from National League South side Tonbridge Angels. Liam was only sixteen when he first broke into the Angels side, and was an important part of the squad that won promotion from the Isthmian League in 2018-19 after coming through two Playoff Finals. He spent some of last season on loan at Sevenoaks Town, making seven appearances.
