Chambers remains a Lilywhite- and Jones returns too

Former Brickie the latest to confirm that his future lies with Faversham

Faversham Town have been busy over the last few days, and last night added another player to their list of those signing on for the forthcoming season when they unveiled Lewis Chambers- before making it two in two by confirming Donvieve Jones this morning.

Highly-rated midfielder Chambers joined the Lilywhites during October after leaving Sittingbourne, having been with the Brickies since the 2017-18 season. He also spent some time on a dual-registration deal with National League side Welling United at the start of the last campaign.

He made nineteen appearances for Town, to add to the nine he had made at Woodstock Park.

Right back Jones has been an almost ever-present since singing from East Grinstead Town in 2018, and is now the club's longest serving player. Speaking to the club website, he explained:

“It’s a family club and since the day I walked into the club, the fans and the staff behind the scenes have been so supportive and welcoming. It makes you proud to pull on the Faversham shirt.
The last two seasons since I’ve been here haven’t been the greatest, but this year I believe we can really kick on."

He made thirty appearances last season, scoring in the Lilywhites last match against East Grinstead on March 7th. That followed seventeen appearances in 2018-19.
