Champions crowned by chairman

Brightlingsea Regent were crowned Ryman North champions on Easter Monday after passing another milestone.

Ryman League chairman Nick Robinson is pictured handing over the championship trophy to the jubilant R's at North Road after James Webster's side passed the 100 points mark with a 3-1 win over Dereham Town in their penultimate outing of the season before next Saturday's trip to Cheshunt's Theobalds Lane.

Now on 102 points with just a game to go, the R's lead the goal difference charts in Ryman North with plus 57 after scoring 112 goals so far this season in 21 victories, six draws and just seven defeats.
