Chips keep Kember

Chipstead confirm who will lead them next season

Chipstead yesterday confirmed that their managerial duo of Rob Kember and Rob Smith will remain in charge for the new season- whenever it arrives.

Kember, previously a fine footballer for Bromley and Crawley Town amongst others, took over at the helm in April last season, when he stepped in to replace the departed Antony Williams. During the season just prematurely ended he has continued to ensure that the Chips play entertaining football, but has also added some steel and improved their results, equalling their best ever finish of tenth place whilst scoring lots of goals and tightening up at the back. An eleven match unbeaten run which spanned two and a half months will have been a particular highlight, and the season closed with the Chips only seven points shy of a playoff spot.
