City and the Brickies pick up valuable victories, whilst it's a point each for the Terrors and Rovers

By Ian Townsend

A round up of last night's action in the Pitching In Isthmian South East and South Central Divisions

Tooting and Mitcham United and Sutton Common Rovers both picked up their first point of the season last night at The Campus Society Stadium, and Rovers obligingly got both goals in a one-one draw. An Own goal gave the Terrors the lead five minutes before the break, only for Danny Fernandez to come off the bench for the visitors and grab the equaliser twenty minutes into the second half. Tooting are up to sixteenth in the Pitching In Isthmian South Central table, Rovers two places above of them.

Into the South East Division now, and Sittingbourne climbed to sixth with victory over Faversham Town- the visitors losing their one hundred percent record in the process. The Brickies got an early goal, Taylor Fisher scoring in the fourth minute, and were two up just before half time, Johan Caney-Bryan with his third of the season. Harry Harding caused consternation amongst the home support with a goal for Town right at the end, but there was still time for Toby Ajala to restore the two goal cushion before the final whistle went. The Lilywhites are just behind the Brickies on goal difference.

We covered the match between Chichester City and Lancing, which the hosts won by four goals to nil. You can read, in detail, about how they did that by heading here. City climb to fourteenth and bring their goal difference back to zero, whilst Lancing are rock bottom with a goal difference in minus double figures.
