Clark Woodcock returns to Ashford United

Ashford United have announced the return to the club of Clark Woodcock, who moves back from Faversham Town.

Clark came up through the youth ranks to become a first teamer for the Nuts and Bolts, before departing to turn out for Tunbridge Wells and then stepping upwards to sign for Folkestone Invicta. He made four appearances for Invicta during the pandemic-hit 2021-22 campaign, before moving on to the Lilywhites, playing twenty seven times and scoring against his old/new club on New Years Day.

The player told the club website:

“It was the play-offs that convinced me to come back. Being a local Ashford boy myself, I wanted to be there helping this club so much and that is what made me desperate to return.

I have had three enjoyable seasons since leaving where I’ve gained invaluable footballing experience; I feel I’m more of a complete player all-round."
