Colmer debuts for Oaks in Hythe victory

Monday's victory over Hythe Town for Sevenoaks Town was notable not just for Oaks getting back on track after a string of defeats, but for the debut between the sticks of Daniel Colmer.

Dan might be a familiar name to some Kentish football watchers. He is a Dartford Academy graduate, and has previously kept goal for Herne Bay- at Under 23 level and for their first team- and more recently at Margate. He made two appearances for Bay last season- in their narrow ten-man FA Cup defeat against Hastings United and in their FA Trophy win over VCD Athletic- and at Margate also played twice, most recently in the one-nil defeat to Wingate & Finchley on the Saturday before Christmas.
