Cray 160

And they don't look a day over twenty-five!

Cray Wanderers are celebrating their one hundred and sixtieth year in 2020, and in honour of that they've produced a retrospective which we think you'll enjoy. It takes you right through their history, filled with a heady mix of triumph, trial and tribulation- although in the last couple of years triumph has generally been the name of the game, with promotion in 2018-19, a home of their own on the horizon, and a fabulous unbeaten run to end the most recent campaign. They last lost a match on Boxing Day last year, which is rather impressive even taking into account that the season stopped in the middle of March!

Trying to fit the club into a list of the world's oldest is rather difficult, as many websites give different versions, but a majority put them somewhere between fourth and eighth. There seems little doubt, despite the various online arguments, that they are certainly the oldest club in London.

Head here to read the article, which is illustrated with a number of images from the last sixteen decades. The image above, by the way, comes from the end of the 2018-19 campaign.
