Cruttwell back at Pilot Field

Skilful Sam returns to Hastings after a year away

When Sam Cruttwell left Hastings United last summer after two hundred and fifty appearances, one supporter was so annoyed that he wrote to the local paper to describe the decision to let him go as "criminal." Well Rupert Bayfield of Crowhurst should now be scurrying to his computer to write another letter expressing his joy, as the player he thought was "the most skilful player I have ever seen at this level" has returned from his stint down the road at Little Common!

Manager Chris Agutter, speaking to the club website, welcomed the player back to the club:

“It’s great to have one of the most talented local footballers back at the club. With hard work and commitment I am sure Crutts will play a big part in the upcoming season.”
