Cugley and Godbold double up

By David Watters

AFC Sudbury's Jamie Godbold and Folkestone Invicta’s Neil Cugley are both looking forward to collecting their second managerial accolades of the season after being unveiled as the final Macron and Nicholas Rowe Tailoring Managers of the Month for 2015.

Named on Wednesday alongside Premier Division winner Hampton & Richmond Borough boss Alan Dowson, the trio will be honoured by representatives of the league and the sponsors at upcoming fixtures.

As well as collecting inscribed glass trophies recording their achievements from Macron, the three managers can look forward to being measured up for new suits after being named as the Ryman League's final managerial maestros of 2015.

Like all winners and for the second season in a row, they will be able to choose from three colours at the long established company’s 7000 sq ft Suit City in Redhill as part of a unique sponsorship partnership which was signed in time for the start of last term.

Under the terms of the sponsorship there is no restriction on the number of suits managers can win but joint bosses will have to collect more than one award with the monthly prizes restricted to one suit per winning club.

Former Kingstonian manager Dowson was named as the top flight's top boss in December for guiding Hampton & Richmond Borough to second spot on the back of five straight wins, a 3-2 victory at home to Staines Town on Boxing Day sealing a magnificent run of results to stay hard on the heels of leaders Dulwich Hamlet.

Goldbold and Cugley won August's inaugural managerial accolades in Ryman North and South respectively after leading their sides to the top of their tables and both are still there.

In Ryman North, Godbold masterminded a run of five straight victories, three coming away from home, to keep his Sudbury side out in front at the start of 2016.

Cugley's title-chasing Invicta also bagged five straight wins in the final month of 2015, their only blemish coming in their last outing, a 2-1 reverse at Hythe Town on Sunday 27 December.
