Macron Performance of the Month Awards

After their exploits in the FA Cup, East Thurrock United and Burgess Hill Town will be collecting October's Macron Performance of the Month accolades alongside Ryman North winners Wroxham.

The trio were named on Wednesday as the latest performance kings in the competition to recognise the top monthly performers over the course of the campaign in the Ryman Premier, Ryman North and Ryman South divisions.

Each divisional winner will be presented with a glass trophy marking the club's achievement at an upcoming fixture by representatives from the league and sponsors Macron after judges considered a shortlist of potential clashes before casting their votes based on the result, form and circumstances behind the winning performances.

There was never much doubt that East Thurrock United would be named as Macron’s top flight winners after they hammered Bath City 7-1 in the FA Cup's final qualifying round on Saturday 25 October, John Coventry's Rocks earning national headlines for the stunning victory that set up this weekend's trip to League Two Hartlepool United in the First Round Proper.

Like the Rocks, Burgess Hill Town have been rewarded for a stunning performance in the FA Cup, Ian Chapman's side beating Sutton United 3-1 at Gander Green Lane in the Third Qualifying Round on Saturday 11 October to knock out the Conference South club, famous giant-killers themselves back in 1989 when they overcame the First Division Coventry City.

Stewart Larter's Wroxham side are going well in Ryman North in fifth place in his first full season in charge and will collect the division's accolade after posting the season's record league win to date, their 8-0 rout of Romford on Saturday 11 October.
