Dockers bring in Maldon midfielder

By Ian Townsend

Brown-Bampoe starts for club number four this season

Tilbury have signed midfielder Philip Brown-Bampoe from Maldon and Tiptree- and he nearly had a debut to remember against Grays Athletic on Saturday, as it looked like the Dockers would win this most competitive of local derbies until the visitors popped up with an equaliser right at the end.

Maldon and Tiptree fans had only seen Philip since mid October, as that's when he moved over from Barking. He made eighteen appearances for the Jammers, following four for the Blues.

The Dockers are his fourth club this season, as he started the campaign at Bognor Regis Town. Before that, last season, he was that other type of Rock, making seven appearances for East Thurrock United.

He moved to East Thurrock from Romford, and previously played for Redbridge and Greenwich Borough.
