Dockers sign Millers defender

Tilbury couldn't manage to overcome the challenge of Heybridge Swifts yesterday, but they were able to celebrate the arrival of a new defender in the shape of George Allen, who moves over from Aveley, where he has already made eleven appearances this season.

George joined the Millers in the summer of 2019, moving over from fellow 2018-19 Playoff Semi-Finalists Coggeshall Town, for whom he'd made eleven appearances- including in Semi-Final defeat by Maldon and Tiptree. He started his football career with Stevenage, and went on to play for Bishop's Stortford, Canvey Island, East Thurrock United and Welling United as well as the Seed Growers.

He made twenty two Millers appearances during the ill-fated 2019-20 season, and another six last season, which was also cut extremely short.
