Tom Phipp and Deshane Dalling sign on at Lewes

Lewes had two new names on the teamsheets in victory over Bowers & Pitsea on Saturday, with midfielders Tom Phipp and Deshane Dalling arriving at the Dripping Pan.

Tom moves up from Herne Bay. He's only been there since the summer, and has made ten appearances so far this season.

Tom came through the youth ranks at Arsenal, before making his name at Ebbsfleet United. He moved on to play briefly for Maidstone United and Margate, Tonbridge Angels, and- more recently- Cray Wanderers, where he was a big part of their promotion in 2019, and- injury aside- their Pitching In Isthmian Premier success in the two abandoned seasons afterwards. He made eleven appearances during the 2020-21 season before it came to a rather premature end, and then moved on to spend a short time with Angels once more before the world crashed around all of our ears.

Deshane isn't entirely new to the Isthmian League, as he was a youth player with Staines Town, before moving on to the Academies at Huddersfield Town and Queens Park Rangers. He played professionally for the latter, and had loan spells at Cork City and Wealdstone before moving permanently to Hemel Hempstead Town, before swapping life as a Tudor for life as a Dart, moving to Dartford.

Tom started that match at Bowers and played for an hour, winger Deshane came on for the last twenty two minutes. You can read more by heading here.
