Double Swift

By Ian Townsend

Tom Wray and Manny N’Daw are back at Heybridge Swifts

Heybridge Swifts had two 'new' names in a depleted squad as they welcomed Chatham Town in the FA Trophy on Saturday.

Tom Wray, a goalkeeper, returns on loan from Dartford- a second loan spell at Swifts, after he made thirteen appearances during the closing stages of last season. Tom came through the Academy setup at the National League South Darts, making his first team debut in a London Cup match during 2022. He has made a number of first team appearances since then, and also had a loan spell in the SCEFL with K Sports last season.

Full back Manny N'Daw previously played Under 18 and Under 21 football for Blackpool, snapped up by the Tangerines after playing youth football with Redbridge. He went on to play for Peacehaven & Telscombe, Canterbury City and Sittingbourne before first landing as a Swift for the 21-22 season, playing twenty six times. He made six more Swifts appearances last season.

He has also played for Stanway Rovers and Fleet Town, amongst others.
