Macron Manager of the Month Awards

Kingstonian’s Alan Dowson can look forward to collecting his second managerial accolade of the campaign after being unveiled as November’s Ryman Premier Macron Manager of the Month.

Dowson, who won Macron’s inaugural award in August, was named by the Ryman League on Tuesday alongside Folkestone Invicta’s Neil Cugley in Ryman South and Steve Fallon at Soham Town Rangers in Ryman North.

Like all Macron winners, the trio will be presented with glass trophies marking their divisional honours at upcoming home fixtures by representatives from the Ryman League and the monthly competition's sponsors.

Dowson, who arrived at Kingstonian in 2007 and is in his seventh season at Kingsmeadow, won the vote of judges for the second time after his guiding his side to an impressive series of results in November. Apart from beating Walton & Hersham 5-0 at home in the Third Round of the Robert Dyas League Cup, K’s were undefeated in the league with a record of three wins and a hard fought draw at title-chasing AFC Hornchurch.

In Ryman North Fallon finally broke Tony Russell’s stranglehold on the division’s award. The VCD Athletic manager has dominated Macron’s managerial stakes since the start of the campaign with a hat-trick of wins but was beaten to the accolade this time around by Fallon who led Rangers to maximum points last month with five wins from five in the league.

Invicta’s Cugley took the laurels in Ryman South for the first time for turning around his side’s league campaign, their three wins and a draw lifting the club into the top half of the table.

All three managers are now in the running for the end of season Macron Manager of the Year Awards with the winners set to be unveiled at next June's Ryman League Banquet & Ball at Wembley’s Hilton Hotel.
