Emergency Services ask for help from the football community

Newly formed Football League needs places to play

The newly created Emergency Services Football League are looking for places in which their teams can play- and wondered whether our clubs might be able to help?

This is a brand new eleven-a-side league designed to bring together teams from across the country representing the Police, Fire, NHS and the Prison Service. So far it has had sixty seven sides register to take part, from across the UK, and the idea is that these sides will be split into ten regional groups and play a Champions League style competition. You might have seen coverage of their plans on the BBC and Sky Sports recently.

One of their main aims is to increase well-being amongst the hard working emergency service workers of the UK. They believe that taking part in sport reduces stress levels, increases fitness and boosts moral- something which will be more important than ever in the months to come.

The season was due to kick off in July- although that looks increasingly unlikely- but such has been the demand that they need more suitable grounds in which teams can play, and wondered whether any of our clubs could help by offering facilities.

If you can, please contact them on info@esfl.co.uk
