A Dafter decision

Aveley confirm Danny as permanent manager

When James Webster departed the Aveley hotseat at a critical point in the season, the Millers needed a replacement who would hit the ground running. In came Danny Dafter, and with five straight wins he hit the ground so hard that you could almost hear it cry in pain!

Despite Playoff Semi-Final defeat to Heybridge Swifts last week, the Parkside club have decided that Danny is the man to take them forward, and today appointed him full time manager.

Speaking to the club website, Chief Executive Craig Johnson stated:

“We are delighted to announce the club’s decision to appoint Danny Dafter as our manager.

“Danny came back to the club after the resignation of James Webster at the end of March and led the team into the playoffs with five straight wins and deservedly picked up the Manager of The Month Award.

“All at Parkside wish Danny a long and successful period leading our club.”
