Angels Peter wins FA Groundsman of the Year Award

By Ian Townsend

Hastings United and Wingate & Finchley also honoured

We often hear comments about the fine quality of the 'Longmead carpet,' and now Tonbridge Angels groundsman Peter Elves has had his hard work recognised by the FA, picking up both the Groundsman of the Year Award for Steps Three and Four and the Isthmian League Groundsman of the Year Award. This year the title comes with an added bonus- and what a bonus! Due to sponsorship by Budweiser, the winning club gets twelve and a half thousand pounds.

Last years Isthmian winner, Andy Ward of Wingate & Finchley, was honoured once more in third place, whilst in second place came Simon Rudkins of Hastings United. Congratulations to all of our winners, and thanks to all groundstaff across the League for their exceptional work in all weathers.
