Blues unveil a duo ahead of today's match

Two sign on at Wingate and Finchley

Wingate and Finchley kick off their Pitching In Isthmian Premier campaign today at home to Bowers and Pitsea, and they will do it with two new faces after they announced the arrival of former Barnet legend Mauro Vilhete and Watford goalkeeper Myles Roberts, the latter on loan.

Mauro came through the youth ranks at Barnet, and became their youngest ever first team debutant in 2010, aged just sixteen. He made more than two hundred appearances for the club, and was playing regularly in the National League at the end of last season, so his signing is something of a coup for the Blues. He does have some Isthmian League experience, as many years ago he spent some time on loan with Hendon.

Myles joined the Hornets from Reading earlier this year; indeed he signed a two and a half year deal back in January. He'd been with Reading since 2017, and will be at Summers Lane until mid October.
