Covid Update 26 November 2020

By Ian Townsend

Following a board meeting last night, the Pitching In Isthmian League has sent a short update to all clubs

The Board of the Pitching In Isthmian League met last night following the government announcement outlining Covid Tiers. Chairman Nick Robinson wrote to all clubs immediately after that meeting- but the League is not yet in a position to clarify how we are to proceed.

The letter states:

'Following the announcement of the Tiers today, the Board of Directors have met to consider the position in which we all find ourselves.

We were concerned that there is no secondary spend at Tier 2 and no spectators at Tier 3.

We are aware that the Boards of the other two Trident Leagues are meeting tomorrow, and I have a meeting scheduled with the representatives of those leagues and the FA Executive on Saturday morning to try and reach a consensus on the way forward now we know the impact of today’s announcements.

I will update you further as soon as I have more information.'

As soon as we know more- and we appreciate that there are currently almost as many questions as there are answers- we will be in touch with all of our clubs and make a further announcement here.
