Gulls on the telly- it's tonight!

Good luck to Canvey Island as they look to get to the FA Cup Third Round

It's tonight! Canvey Island's FA Cup exploits this season have introduced them to a whole new audience- but they'll get to increase that audience yet further this evening, as they host Boreham Wood in the Second Round of the FA Cup. The match will be shown live on BT Sport, and kick off will be at 7.45 PM.

The Gulls, who have so far defeated Ware, Dereham Town, Biggleswade, Bedfont Sports, Cray Wanderers and Banbury United, face a Boreham Wood side who are currently sixteenth in the National League. They defeated Southend United on penalties after a three-all draw in the First Round, entering in the round before when they defeated Wimborne Town- but since that Southend match they haven't been able to find a victory, with two defeats and two draws from their four matches.

Both clubs will receive a live broadcast fee of £37,500- but sadly no spectators will be allowed, except from the comfort of their armchairs.

The best of luck to the Gulls, who have done the entire Pitching In Isthmian League proud with their exploits.
