Heath appoint a new number one- alongside the current number one!

Captain Cotton to work alongside Shaun Saunders

Haywards Heath Town have appointed captain Lloyd Cotton joint manager, promoting the former Lewes man to work alongside manager Shaun Saunders.

In an article in the local press, which you can find here, the club explain:

"Lloyd is an intelligent, technically gifted and extremely passionate footballer who wants to not only help the Heath on the pitch but wants to also learn the art of management from the Heath’s most successful manager in recent years, if not ever.

"Shaun feels that this is appointment will help progress the club to the next level."

We must stress that this statement hasn't been posted on the club's website or social media channels, but given that the article quotes chairman Mick Cottingham directly we assume it to be accurate!

As well as the Rooks, where he was a big part of their promotion in 2017-18, Lloyd has also played for Burgess Hill Town and Peacehaven & Telscombe.
