Heath Headlines

We catch up with the latest signing news from Haywards Heath Town- and have news of a new shirt sponsor

It's almost a week since we brought you any news from Haywards Heath Town, and that's not because there hasn't been any, but because we were waiting for it to stop so that we could collate it! Since we last visited Hanbury Park the club have announced four returning players and two new signings, and a new shirt sponsor.

The returning players are Reece Hallard, Trevor McCreadie, Danny Cumber and Farrell Ryder. The new arrivals are Tom Gilbert and Billy Collings.

Midfielder Reece previously played for Worthing, Whitehawk and Three Bridges, joining Heath last summer but spending most of the campaign fighting injury. Trevor is their record goalscorer, with eighty two goals in one hundred and sixteen appearances according to the club Twitter feed, like a Sussex Mo Salah, whilst Danny came in from Sevenoaks Town midway through last season and previously played for Chipstead and AFC Croydon Athletic. Farrell was formerly at local rivals Burgess Hill Town, and managed only three appearances for the club last season before a long-term injury halted his progress.

Tom Gilbert heads over from SCFL side Horsham YMCA. The defender previously played for Eastbourne Borough, Eastbourne Town, Hastings United, Horsham, Dorking Wanderers and Broadbridge Heath.

Goalkeeper Billy started last season at Lewes, heading to the Dripping Pan from Brighton & Hove Albion. He moved to the Seagulls from Reading, and has had loan time Hendon and Dartford.

Finally, Heath's new shirt sponsor is local design and build company Hox Contractors.
