Monday night football- and Rangers on the telly

By Ian Townsend

Four of our clubs are in FA Cup action tonight- and Soham Town Rangers will be live on the BBC

The FA Cup First Qualifying Round starts tonight, and if you can't get to a match then you can watch one of the games via your TV, as Soham Town Rangers trip to Hashtag United- who play at Bowers & Pitsea's Len Salmon Stadium- is live on the iPlayer and BBC Sport website.

If you don't have a ticket for that match then the only way you will get to see it is on the telly, as it has already sold out.

Rangers will be without talisman Sam Mulready, who dislocated his shoulder during Saturday's draw with Maldon and Tiptree. Their hosts are currently in second place in the Essex Senior League, having won each of their opening three matches, and defeated Felixstowe and Walton United in the last round, triumphing thirteen-twelve in a penalty shootout after a one-one draw.

We've a meeting of two of our clubs at Colston Avenue, as Carshalton Athletic host Faversham Town- secure your tickets here.

The Robins were clinical in defeating Potters Bar Town three-nil in the league on Saturday, whilst the Lilywhites didn't get to play their scheduled opening league fixture due to Guernsey's covid-enforced withdrawal. They defeated Eastbourne Town on penalties in the last round, whilst the Robins were walloping Whitstable Town five-one. You can already read the programme for the match, by heading here.

Finally, Brentwood Town travel to face New Salamis. Their hosts, who play at Haringey Borough's Coles Park, are in the Spartan South Midlands League Division One, and defeated Shefford Town & Campton five-one in their opening league fixture on Saturday. They've won all three of their competitive matches so far this campaign, scoring eleven goals and conceding two.

Town fell to defeat against Grays Athletic at the weekend, having beaten FC Romania in the last round of the FA Cup.

This match is also sold out.
