My First XI- Dave Bullock, Tilbury

I was interested in Anthony Mercer's First X1 dating back to 2011. My memories start back in the early 60's and here's my side.

Goalkeeper: Malcolm Shaw

Defence:

Dave Drum (also scored eighty five goals in nine seasons with the club- tenth on their all-time scorers list)

Ginger Shovlar (scored fifty goals for the club too- wasn’t just great at keeping them out)

Bill Evans

Midfield:

John Brennan

Pat McBride

Sid Wolf

Ed Taylor

Forwards:

Freddie Ryder

Ross Livermore (302 goals in nine seasons, still the club’s leading goalscorer).

Dai Evans (154 goals in 8 seasons, number two on the all-time scorers list)

Shawo's got to be the best Goalkeeper I've seen outside the Football League- and could relax because not much got past that back three! Up front there’s a lot of class.

Not to get too cheesy but I completed my education at St Chads & loved it - "meat hooks" & all.
