Hullbridge add many more- but not Huey

Hullbridge Sports have been announcing retained players almost every day, perhaps in a deliberately sneaky attempt to ensure that they are always the top story on this website. Well we're on to them, so we've waited a few days to add their latest signings!

The latest bunch to sign up are Jamal Allen, Joe Wright, Callum Thompson, Kieran Bishop, Callum Fitzer, Greg Frederick and Michael Agboola. That must mean that boss Darren Manning has put the whole of last season's band back together by now.

Jamal, a centre back, signs on for a third season after making twenty four appearances last time out. Joe, a striker, scored ten goals for the club last season- and when he scored he only once ended up on the losing side. Callum, a full back, joined the club last September after leaving Barking, and also recently played for Grays Athletic and Basildon United. He'd made thirteen appearances for Sports before the season crashed to an end.

Kieran joined the club in January. The striker was prolific for Grays Athletic and Harlow Town, and moved to Sports after a short time at Coggeshall Town. Callum F, not to be confused with Callum T, is a winger who captained Essex at Under 18 level and came through the Academy at Southend United- he made fifteen appearances last year, and scored two goals, including one in that memorable win at Canvey Island. Midfielder Greg was part of the Essex Senior League title winning squad, and has also spent some time on loan at West Essex FC, whilst Michael departed Romford last season- didn't everyone- and prior to his time at the Boro spent five years in the USA.
