Tangerines launch an appeal to pay for vandalism repairs...

...and they're going to run two thousand miles to help!

Just over a week ago we brought you news that Ashford Town had been the victims of a collection of mindless vandalism. The club have now turned to fund raising in order to pay for repairs, and have launched an appeal which has so far raised nearly 45% of the two thousand pounds required.

They explain:

'Recently the club was vandalised, with fence panels, seating and advertising boards ripped down and broken. For a club like ourselves, the damages are going to cost too much for us to find. So we are reaching out to the community in what is a difficult time, to see if we can help raise the money.

The men’s team and ladies team are going to be joining forces by doing a running challenge, where we will be running 2000 miles between us, with the aim being to raise £2000. The challenge will start on the 1st March and end on the 31st.

If you can spare anything, then please just donate and watch as we go for the £2000 target.

Thanks for your support.'
