Tanners Andrew heads to Heath

Andrew Briggs heads back to Sussex

Haywards Heath Town last night announced the signing of Leatherhead midfielder Andrew Briggs.

Andrew might be new to Heath, but he isn't new to Sussex- or even to Mid Sussex, as he played for Heath's local rivals Burgess Hill Town during the 2019-20 season, making twenty three appearances. Prior to that he was with National League South side Eastbourne Borough, and he has also played for Lancing, albeit when they were in the Southern Combination Football League.

He has made thirteen appearances for the Tanners this season, and although he drops a level, he will probably think of it as if he's just dropping four places- Heath are currently fourth in Pitching In Isthmian South East.
