Towner goes to Wingate

Blues bring in Enfield defender Hatton

Wingate and Finchley have announced the signing of Enfield Town defender- and occasional midfielder- Sam Hatton.

Sam had three seasons on Donkey Lane, although played seldom last season- mind you, you could say the same about everyone else, too. He made forty one appearances in 2018-19, and another thirty before the 2019-20 season came to an early end.

Prior to being a Towner, Sam turned out for AFC Wimbledon, Aldershot Town, Grimsby Town and Welling United. He also played for England C.

He came through the youth setup at Stevenage Borough, before spending five years with AFC Wimbledon, racking up almost two centuries of appearances. Spells with Grimsby Town and Aldershot Town followed, before he joined Welling United. Bishop's Stortford and Staines Town are also included in his list of clubs, before he joined the Towner.

Wingate & Finchley boss Marc Weatherstone commented:

"He brings a wealth of experience and he's a high level professional."
