K's boss Hayden signs a new deal

Kingstonian last night announced that manager Hayden Bird has signed a new contract with the club, taking him through to the summer of 2024.

The manager, who joined the club after leading Merstham to the Premier Division Playoff Final in May 2019, has seen his side- who are currently in seventh place in the Pitching In Isthmian Premier- through two covid affected seasons, which they ended in tenth and fourth place. There have also been some superb results in knockout competitions, with a run to the Second Round of the FA Cup during his first campaign which included wins over Dartford and Weston Super Mare, and an FA Trophy win over Woking.

Chairman John Fenwick stated:

"The directors are delighted that Hayden has agreed to commit to the club for the next two and a half years. We felt that it was important to secure his long-term future with the club in order to move forward.

We look forward to building upon the achievements and progress made by both Hayden and the team in the months and years ahead."
