Bishop's Stortford have had a fantastic start to the season, and last night they extended their unbeaten run to eight matches in all competitions as they defeated Royston Town in the 3rd Qualifying Round of the FA Cup.
The Blues made the breakthrough in the twenty eighth minute, as Frankie Merrifield got his sixth goal of the season- and perhaps victory was finally confirmed when the same player doubled the advantage with his seventh, fifteen minutes from time. Correy Davidson, who had only been on the field for two minutes, made absolutely sure when he got number three, which came three minutes before the end.
Stortford join Bury Town, Cambridge City, Canvey Island, Cray Valley PM, Cray Wanderers, Haringey Borough and Maldon and Tiptree in today's draw for the Fourth Qualifying Round, which will be broadcast live on Talksport 2 at 1PM. We'll have details of the draw here shortly afterwards.
